Climate Crisis Startup Equipment Fund
Building a successful startup is difficult but getting the funds to do so is even harder. We believe that climate crisis focused startups are being underfunded and we want to help.
$200,000 in ‘no strings attached’ funds to support startups focused on tackling the climate crisis to help purchase equipment, software, or services.
We realize this is unusual - generally funds are given to nonprofits, businesses as a loan, or as an investment requiring a stake in the company. We want to be different by removing risk from the startup business owner by simply gifting the funds.
Requirements:
This Fund awards grants to startups focused on reducing or eliminating greenhouse gas emissions through actions, research, and/or technology. Applicants must be incorporated as a corporation or limited liability company. Funds are intended to be used for equipment, software or services.
The Fund evaluates applications on:
Direct impact this company could have on reducing or eliminating greenhouse gas emissions
Impact this equipment, software or service would have on achieving the company’s goals
The Fund maintains and reserves the sole right to approve or deny all grant applications.
